We have traveled fairly extensively since retiring but we can honestly say that this was THE BEST trip that we have been on.  We LOVED the fact that we were able to visit and see some of the little “out of the way” places that the average tourist wouldn’t get to see.  We enjoyed seeing the “biggies” but those little towns were really our favourites.  We actually felt like we were living like a true Italian and not as a tourist……..starting each day with a delightful cup of cappuccino was such a great way to begin our days.  All of our accommodations were fabulous, each unique in their own way and places that we would love to re-visit some day.  Then there was the food…………..what can we say about the food!!!!!!  Rick gained 10 pounds from all those wonderful meals……I wasn’t brave enough to step foot on our scales to see how much weight I had gained.  We loved the fact that the ordering of our meals was taken care of for us……..that to us was a PLUS.
